Regional Subcommittee Chairs (See also ARSC Subcommittee guidelines below).
- have a minimum of 3 years clean time {See Policy guidelines table 1.2.6 for details}
- serve a two-year cycle. Positions fall vacant at the June ARSC of the non WSC year (the odd years e.g., 2021, 2023, 2025…)
- are considered ARSC participants {See Policy guidelines 1.2.3 for details}
- are expected to attend all ARSC meetings {See Policy guidelines table 1.3.1 for details}
- arrange agenda for and preside over all Subcommittee meetings
- arrange for their Subcommittee vice chair to attend ARSC meetings if they are to be absent {See Policy guidelines table 1.3.1 for details}
- prepare a hand-over document for the incoming chair prior to leaving their position; usually before the June ARSC in the non WSC year (2021, 2023, 2025…)
- handover document will include all ongoing matters, policies and procedures pertaining to the operation of the Subcommittee.
**This position is funded for attendance at face-to-face ARSC Meetings (See also Travel policy and procedures).

- are requested to make themselves available to attend ARSC meetings should their Subcommittee chairperson be unavailable {See Policy guidelines table 1.3.1 for details
- performs the duties of the Subcommittee Chair in their absence
- vice chairperson shall be funded to attend an ARSC meeting if the Chair is unable to do so {See Policy guidelines 1.2.12 for details}.
**Are not normally funded to attend ARSC meetings.
##The Subcommittee Vice Chair is encouraged to attend ARSC meetings held virtually along with the Subcommittee Chair (as a means of gaining working experience).
