Women’s Prison Roster Group Conscience (online) Minutes – 17/04/2021

Correctional Facility Reports:
Brisbane Women’s Correctional Centre:
- 21 women attended, 6 newcomers. Secure and residential worked well together and talked on death and forgiveness.
- Form 27A can now be submitted by email to the institution. Fran spoke to Mark Evans on the way out and asked why the girls from NA applying to do H&I have to get their ID’s signed by a JP. Mark stated he did not know. Fran said she will enquire further about that to see if ID can be sent without a signature from a JP.
Helena Jones Centre:
- No meetings for the past five weeks due to lockdown.
- Ally will email to confirm with Megan the week before 26/4/2021.
Gatton:
- Form 27A can now be submitted by email to the institution.
- Low on facilitator numbers.
- Have asked other women on the roster to assist on occasion and will reach out through the H&I workshop on the 18/4/2021.
- No meetings for the past five weeks due to lockdown.

New Business
- Clean time requirement- the group agreed to change the minimum clean time requirement from 6 months to 12 months.
- Group Conscience Decision making- where the group are unable to reach a consensus the group conscience will apply majority rules.
