Old Business:
- GSF attendance – Nibbles via Bring a Plate to encourage attendance, seemed to be effective
- 12 Step Feast – Tabled until January, COVID regulation concerns.
- Christmas Ideas – Bethania Pool, non-consensus. Springfield Lakes, Orion Lakes Lagoon. Saturday 18th 10am onwards, BYO food, only nibbles and drinks provided. Consensus passed. Flyer to be completed by Ray, Nicole to upload to na.org.au site to events. Day includes nibbles and drinks, budget to be taken from funds (balance approximately $800 in account) – to be actioned by Kylie, Sharra, Chris, Nicole. Lee – “Lee’s Jolly Lollies”. Proposal to be brought to next GSF for approval.
- Women needed for H&I in Women’s prison, 12 months plus.
- GSF Statement to read in meeting
Actioned – Subcommitee Formed: Chris, Rob. To be actioned: Draft to be brought to next GSF for amendments/suggestions/approval. - Missing Homegroups from GSF
- Ongoing Idea for Service Workshop – Meeting then BBQ then Service Workshop, to be actioned at a later date in the New Year. Ask for people with Service Facilitating experience to help. (Lee and Sharra to help organize)
- Westside meetings, looking into if they are part of the GSF. Kylie to action.
New Business
- Sponsporship shortage mentioned by Sean. Discussion concluded it is up to the homegroups/individuals to discuss the importance of sponsorship/homegroup belonging. Discussion regarding homegroups to chat to newcomers/individuals in a personable/one on one manner for encouragement into homegroups/service.
- Acacia Ridge 7pm Thursday meeting discussion. Nicole O asking GSF for support on ideas for more support. Just took over secretary position, only two members including self were present at meeting this week. Unsure about treasurer or rent situation. Numbers have been low consistently. Discussion regarding changing time, day or venue.
Discussion regarding Activities Ideas:
– “Meeting Raid” Sunshine Coast/Gold Coast – GSF passed no need for approval with GSF if no funds required, members/groups ok to arrange by themselves.
– “Stay Connected” list for Christmas for members struggled, suggested by Sean H. GSF agreed it was a great idea.
– New Years Eve party Friday 31/12 suggested by Nicole O. To be actioned: proposal to be brought to next GSF for approval. Need to research COVID Regulations
Next GSF: Saturday 4th of December, Bethania Community Centre.
