Northern Australia Service Area H&I Hub Report – November 2025

Northern Australia Service Area H&I Hub Report – November 2025

The H&I Hub Coordinator stepped down from their service position in August 2025. Since that time, the ARSC H&I Workgroup Coordinator has managed the day-to-day responsibilities. However, with the recent increase in H&I service delivery requests requiring higher-level organisation, the previous H&I Hub Coordinator, Meredith C., has resumed the role in an acting capacity. This development highlights the need for the Hub to receive greater support in distributing literature and providing PR presentations.

Additional members are urgently needed to strengthen roster commitments. At present, only six members are covering four correctional facilities in SEQ, with some members serving on two rosters. The limited number of regional members and the current capacity to deliver H&I make it impossible to establish rosters that adequately meet demand.

The ARSC H&I Workgroup exists to support H&I representatives at all levels across Australia. While the Workgroup is an integral part of working toward the solution, greater regional involvement will ensure better service delivery outcomes.

In November the following requests were received from:
