Did you know that the Narcotics Anonymous Northern Australia Service Area has a zoom account that you group can use for virtual meetings?
If account is not already in use for the time of you meeting; your group can use this Zoom account for virtual meetings without the need to use group Seventh Tradition funds for a zoom account.
It’s a fairly simple process to get access to get set up:
- Send a request for you online meeting to the account administrator:
- Account administrator: serviceboard.northernaustralia@na.org.au
- Be sure to include all details of the meeting:
- Topic
- Date and time details
- Start and finish times
- Recurring meeting details (if required).
- Be sure to give the administrator some time to check your request for clashes and some lead time to set it up.
- If available, the administrator will schedule the meeting; and send you the meeting invite details.
- The invite will include the link you will need to add to the meeting list.
- Currently this is a separate process. You will have to submit a meeting update in addition to this zoom account request.
- The two (2) processes are currently separate and the responsibility is on the requestor to update the meetings list with the Zoom Invite link
- The response will also provide you with a host passcode.
- Do not publish or share this passcode.
- The invite will include the link you will need to add to the meeting list.
Once you are all set up, you just need to wait until the meeting is about to start.
- Allow yourself somewhere around 10 or 15 minutes before the meeting is about to start.
- Sign into Zoom as you would normally.
- Use the link that was provided to you to join the meeting you are hosting.
- Click Participants.
- Click Claim Host at the bottom of the participants list.
- Enter your host key.
- Click Claim Host. Once the host key is verified, you will have host controls in the meeting.
