| Duties and Responsibilities: | Area Vice Chairperson is responsible for: • learning to take on the Area Chair role • the coordination of the area Sub-committees • keeping in regular touch with the chairpersons of each Sub- committee and staying informed of their projects • attending Sub-committee meetings whenever possible • Helping find solutions if disputes arise within a Sub- committee or between Sub-committees • assisting the Chair in conducting ASC meetings • conducting ASC meetings in the Chair’s absence The position involves a two-year commitment – the first year serving as the Vice Chair, then continuing on to complete a one-year term as the Area Chair. |
