Prerequisites
- Membership of a Southern Sydney Area Group
- Knowledge of the Southern Sydney Area Service Committee Standing Policy and Procedures
- Willingness to gain knowledge of 12 steps, 12 traditions and 12 concepts
Position Description
- Adhere to SSASC policies and procedures
- Attend the Combined Sydney Areas Phone Line Representatives meeting, carrying the conscience of the SSASC
- Attend monthly SSASC Meetings and present a monthly report
- Read position description at SSASC meeting twice yearly
- Announce end of term two months prior
- Hand over to elected Activities Chair representative at the end of term, spending time to provide as much helpful information as possible
Activities Chair specific Responsibilities
- As and when decided by due process of the SSASC, form a committee and direct a process through which social activities and events can be hosted within the SSASC
Southern Area (Sydney) so as to unify and uplift the community within NA and also encourage service at Area level.
- Ensure as part of the proposal for all Activities that a budget is prepared of forecast income and expenses, and endorsed by the SSASC.
- Ensure that funds are requested from the Treasurer in accordance with the approved budget.
- Ensure that any unused funds are returned to the SSASC within one week of the Activity being held.
- Ensure that a summary of Income and Expenses is prepared and sent to the SSASC Administration Committee within one week of EASC Activities being held. The Treasurer can assist to prepare this.
- Note that for SSASC Funded Activities over $100 the Treasurer must be involved and work with the Activities Chair to ensure the above financial responsibilities are met.
