- Skills in:
- Typing and accurate minute taking
- Administration and coordination
- Internet use
Job Description
- Adhere to Southern Sydney Area Service Committee procedure
- Take accurate notes of the Southern Sydney Area Service Committee meeting
- Type and photocopy minutes of the meeting as required
- Send copies either electronically or by post as requested to
- All SSASC members
- Any NA member who requests a copy of the SSASC minutes
- Post the minutes on SSASC Yahoo email site so any member of the Southern Area can access the minutes
- Maintain the contact list – i.e. the email/postal address list at every SSASC meeting to maintain a current list of all meetings in the Southern Area
- Send a copy of the contact list to the SSASC Chairperson to ensure ease of communication between the Chairperson and members of the SSASC as necessary
- Tidy and archive emails that collect in the Yahoo address inbox and delete junk emails
- Maintain the email address list on the Yahoo inbox by adding new members and deleting former attendees as necessary with any change of GSRs representing groups in the Southern Area
- Announce end of term two months prior and read job description at Area.
- Hand over to elected secretary at the end of term spending time to provide as much helpful information as possible
In addition:
The secretary will also use the booklet titled ‘A guide to Local Service in Narcotics Anonymous’ and other NA literature to assist in conducting their role in accordance with NA concepts and Traditions
