Area Service Committee (ASC)

‘NA, as such ought never be organised, but we may create service boards or committees directly responsible to those they serve’ – Ninth Tradition

NA Groups join together, combining their resources to create service boards and committees that will help them better fulfill their primary purpose.  An ASC serves the Groups and the community by supporting them with services and resources to carry the message of recovery.  Service is a chance to give back what was so freely given to us, and the spiritual growth in helping out another addict is a valuable part of recovery.  Group Service Representatives (GSRs), Sub-Committee chairs (H&I/PR) Admin Committee members (Secretary/Treasurer) come together once a month to support each other to carry the message of recovery.

The WA ASC is responsible to the groups that it serves – if you are a Group Service Representative (GSR) then you are welcome and encouraged to join your local area service meeting.  You don’t have to be a GSR to come to the meetings and observe.  Our members bring their skills to service participation and learn new skills along the way.  We use our strengths and accept our limitations.

Have a look around this service site, and the Sub-committee pages to find out how you can be of service in the WA Fellowship.
