Clean Time Requirement: | 3 years (and a minimum of one year previous Area service including service as an Administrative Officer and/or Sub-committee chair) |
Float: | Per diem of $120 when attending ARSC. |
Duties and Responsibilities: | Adapted from ‘A Guide to Local Services’ Regional Committee Member is responsible for: • Serving as the core of the Regional Service Committee, • keeping the SA Area in touch with the larger world of NA by providing information on activities in neighbouring areas, functions being sponsored by the regional committee, reports relevant to Sub- committee affairs, and important issues being discussed at various levels of service • carefully studying the reports from the SA Area’s groups, officers and Sub-committee chairpersons so that they can pass this experience on to others at the regional meeting. • talking personally with other participants in the SA Area ASC in order to be a more effective contact between the Area and the Regional Committee • attending as many Group Conscience meetings within the South Australia Area as possible • maintaining and storing Regional associated archives and documents with assistance from RCM Alt • running the annual service workshop Areas should elect people to this position who are: • well versed in NA service practices and principles • closely acquainted with the Twelve Traditions and Twelve Concepts • familiar with NA published service manuals and bulletins |
