IT Admin Job Description

The IT Admin will adhere to their job description as follows:

Suggested clean time – 2 years

Commitment – 1 year

Prerequisites

  1. Membership of a Southern Sydney Area Group.
  2. Knowledge of the Southern Sydney Area Service Committee policies and procedures.
  3. Good working knowledge of the 12 Steps, 12 Traditions and 12 Concepts.
  4. Some very basic IT knowledge or comfortability with learning how to do specific tasks (an IT degree is not a requirement).

Job Description

  1. Adhere to SSASC policies and procedures.
  2. To attend periodic meetings of the Australian Regional IT Subcommittee.
  3. To attend and present a monthly report to the SSASC meeting.
  4. To investigate, evaluate and present potential IT solutions to the SSASC meeting.
  5. To develop training, information and/or “how to” documents for others to be able to use the IT solutions.
  6. To work in conjunction with others within SSASC in relation to gathering requirements for technology to fulfil needs.
  7. To liaise with other Area IT related service positions to harness work already performed.
  8. To support the SSASC in relation to utilisation of already adopted IT solutions (e.g. SSASC pages on the NA.org.au website; Zoom; Google Groups and Google Drive).
  9. To manage the SSASC meetings on the NA.org.au website.
  10. Announce end of term two months prior.
  11. Hand over to elected IT Admin at the end of term spending time to provide as much helpful information as possible, including any passwords for SSASC IT systems.
