All Australian Regional Service Committee (ARSC) positions are elected by the ARSC.

There are 2 primary requirements for ARSC membership:

  1. There is a two-year minimum clean time for ARSC participation.  Nominees for positions must meet the clean time requirement as per policy description for the position,
  2. ARSC participants and nominees must reside within the Australian Commonwealth and its States and Territories.

As per ARSC Election procedures, all terms are two years since all positions become vacant every two years. This is in June of the non-World Service Conference (WSC) year, which are odd years (2019, 2021, 2023, etc). Any successful nomination part way through the two year cycle serves until the next rollover.

Members do not normally serve more than two consecutive terms (four years total).

Fellowship Service Office (FSO) clean time requirements

The elected term for the FSO Board is three years. Members normally serve two consecutive terms, for a maximum of six years in service.

Election to the FSO pool has an undefined election term. The FSO pool was established in compliance with legal requirements, so that members could be elected to the FSO Board with a clean time requirement, even though the clean time requirement is not part of the legal structure of the Board. Members may remain in the pool until they are elected to the Board, or until they withdraw from the pool.

The FSO Board was formerly known as the FSO Management Committee.
